Robert Amereno’s first live cash was recorded in June 2005 at the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas. He participated in $1,500 No Limit Hold’em, placing 18th and earned $22,265.

In January 2006, Amereno competed in $540 No Limit Hold’em at the L.A. Poker Classic. He finished the tournament in 10th place, earning $4,306.

The following year, in March 2007, Amereno took part in $1,060 Mixed Hold’em/Omaha/Seven Card Stud at the Wynn Classic in Las Vegas He took third place and cashed for $10,767.
