Robbi Jade Lew

Robbi Jade Lew was born in Saudi-Arabia in 1985 along with her twin sister; shortly after followed by a younger brother. Her parents had prestigious qualifications, her father a physicist and her mother a doctor. The family emigrated to San Francisco when Robbi was 5 where she completed school and then attended UC Santa Barbara, double-majoring in law, and society and philosophy. She went on to work at Bayer, a pharmaceutical company, where she was a senior accounts manager. Robbi has been married for over 10 years to attorney Charles Lew, who is also a professor and Metaverse lawyer, and they reside in Pacific Palisades, CA.

Robbi-Jade Lew’s Early Poker Days

Robbi has only been playing the game for about five years, after reading a “Poker For Dummies” book and having her husband teach her the basics, she started to organize home games with family and friends. After playing more regularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, it became clear to her that she had what it takes to be a good poker player, at which point she hired two big name poker coaches and as of 2022 is a full-time poker player.

Tournament Poker Results

Robbi played a handful of tournaments in Las Vegas in October 2021, with the first two being low-medium stakes where she finished 16th in a $400 NLHE on October 28th and 1st in a $150 NLHE on October 22nd. In addition, on October 22nd, Robbi made her debut WSOP appearance in the $1,000 NLHE Double-Stack Event where she finished 276th and cashed $2,463. She played another two $150 NLHE tournaments in the remaining days of October and finished 16th and 2nd. 

Robbi’s second WSOP appearance was shortly after, on November 11th, in the $888 NLHE 8-Handed Crazy Eights Event, where she cashed $1,882 to round off a smooth beginning to her poker career for the year.  Lew returned to the tournament scene in March 2022, once again in a $400 NLHE Double-Stack Event, finishing 10th, followed by a 3rd place finish in her next event in June at an MGM Grand Summer Series $100 NLHE Event.

In June and July of 2022, Robbi cashed in 4 events at the 53rd WSOP. Firstly in the $3,000 NLHE, where she finished 85th and cashed $6,962. Secondly in the $5,000 NLHE 6-handed event, finishing 73rd and cashing $10,066. Thirdly in the $1,00 NLHE Mini-Main Event where she cashed a further $2,165 and lastly in the $10,000 NLHE Main Event where she cashed $15,000.

Robbi’s first tournament win came in August 2022 at $2,200 NLHE WPT Event where she cashed $20,000. In October, also at a WPT event, although much higher stakes, Robbi achieved her best live cash. She finished 49th in the $10,000 NLHE Event at The WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, cashing $22,400.

Conclusion

Robbi Jade Lew is primarily a cash game player which is where the majority of her poker earnings have accumulated. She appears regularly on live-stream cash games at Hustler Casino Live, Poker At The Lodge and Live At The Bike. She is at the beginning of her poker career and we look forward to seeing her produce some good results.
