Rob Hollink, born in March 27th, 1962, is a Dutch professional poker player from Groningen, Netherlands, with over $3.9 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $845,190 came when he won at the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final held in Monte Carlo in March 2005.
He made history by becoming the first player from the Netherlands to win both a European Poker Tour (EPT) title and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. His first gold bracelet came at the 39th WSOP in June 2008, marking a significant milestone in his poker career.
Before transitioning to professional poker, Rob Hollink was an athlete but was forced to retire due to injuries. While attending school, he studied mathematics and economics. Hollink has been a professional gambler since 1985. After winning a poker tournament in Paris in 2001, he chose to leave blackjack and roulette behind and focus solely on poker. His favorite poker game is Pot-Limit Omaha.
In November 1999, Rob Hollink recorded his first live cash. He competed in the HFL 5,000 LIDO Tournament No Limit Hold’em at the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam City Centre. He finished in 7th place and earned $7,917.
Subsequently, in March 2005, Hollink achieved a major victory by winning 1st place in the €10,000 European Poker Tour Grand Final No Limit Hold’em, held in Monte Carlo. For this accomplishment, he won $845,190.
Following this, in April 2005, Hollink demonstrated his skill by placing 5th in the $25,000 + 500 Main Event No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He earned $377,420.
In April 2006, Hollink continued his strong performance by securing 1st place in the $2,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em event at the Fourth Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas. He received $204,815.
Moving forward to June 2008, Hollink reached another career high by winning 1st place in the $10,000 World Championship Limit Hold’em at the 39th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. He was awarded $496,931 and a gold bracelet for this achievement.
In July 2022, Hollink maintained his competitive edge by finishing 4th in the $7,000 No Limit Hold’em – Super Turbo Bounty Event #67 at the 53rd WSOP in Las Vegas. His prize was $181,667.
Most recently, in July 2024, Hollink participated in the $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha – 6-Handed Bracelet Event #97 at the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas. He placed 41st and received $9,598.
