Richard Kirsch first appeared in a recorded live tournament at the UltimateBet Poker Classic in Palm Beach, in September 2004. Kirsch cashed $7,000 in the $6,000 + $200 No Limit Hold’em event.

During the 36th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2005, Richard earned $124,835. He participated in a $10,000 No Limit Texas Hold’em World Championship Event.
