Richard Hoffmaster’s first recorded live cash occurred in April 2003, he placed 8th in the $2,500 Limit Hold’em event at the 34th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, earning $11,280.

Later that year, in November 2003, Hoffmaster claimed 1st place in the $200 No Limit Hold’em event at the Cash Casino 3 Day Event in Calgary, earning $11,569.

A year later, in May 2004, Hoffmaster competed in the $2,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Split event at the 35th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing 8th and cashing for $12,920.

Soon after, in October 2004, he placed 4th in the $1,455 + 45 No Limit Hold’em WPPA Championship of Poker in Las Vegas, earning $11,575.

Just a few weeks later, on October 23, he finished 3rd in the $1,050 Limit Hold’em event at The Bay 101 Open in San Jose, taking home $14,400.

After a few years, in February 2008, where he placed 2nd in the $1,060 No Limit Hold’em event at the Deep Stack Extravaganza in Las Vegas, earning $23,710.

In September 2024, Hoffmaster participated in the $325 + 25 Pot Limit Big O event (Event #11) at the Fall Coast Classic in Lincoln City. He finished 9th and earned $1,028.
