Rene Nezhoda: Early Life

Rene Nezhoda grew up in Wien, Austria. He was born to Lenka Nezhoda and Gunter Nezhoda (also a ‘Storage Wars’ star). Both of his parents are no longer alive. He is also married to Casey Nezhoda, with whom he has a daughter, Tatiana Nezhoda.

Rene is well-known for his appearance on the reality television show Storage Wars. He appeared from 2013 to 2021. Nezhoda also has extensive experience running a thrift store. Nezhoda owns the Bargain Hunters Thrift Store in San Diego, CA, which he opened in August 2006. He began collecting and selling collectibles and antiques when he was only 11 years old.

Nezhoda has been a poker player since he was 21 years old. He used to play at the Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, which is where he got his start in Binion’s. Rene began with $1/2 blinds and no limit. He’d put down two, three, four, or five thousand dollars and sit there all day. When he was 21, his only goal was to earn $500 per day. That was in the early 2000s. It seemed simple at first, but he soon became obsessed with poker and began playing full-time. He did it professionally for three years, only playing cash games.
