Rene Mouritsen’s first recorded live cash occurred in September 2004 at the Ultimatebet Poker Classic in Palm Beach. He finished in 11th place in a $500 + 40 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $1,117.

On July 29th, 2005, Rene played in a £8,500 Week 7 at the Party Poker Poker Den in East London. He finished in 1st place and won $91,134.

Shortly after, on August 19th, 2005, he returned to the Party Poker Poker Den to join in a £8,500 Week 10. He clinched another victory and bagged $91,134.

Following this, Rene joined in a $1,500 Mixed Hold’em at the 38th WSOP in June 2007. He finished in 2nd place and earned $125,895.

Subsequently, in July 2007, he entered in a $10,000 World Championship Pot Limit Omaha at the same event. He also finished in 2nd place and secured his biggest live cash of $464,877.

Moreover, he finished in 2nd place at the 39th WSOP in June 2008, taking home $445,523.

In March 2017, Rene competed in a DKr1,100 No Limit Hold’em during the Winter Tour in Vejle. He ended up in 8th place, earning $2,102.
