Ralph Porter, nicknamed ‘Rep,’ is an American professional poker player from Woodinville, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington, where he laid the foundation for his analytical skills. Before turning pro, Porter worked in finance as an equity options trader.
His poker career took off when he began competing in prestigious tournaments. Over time, he accumulated over $4 million in live tournament earnings. A significant milestone came in June 2018, when he finished in 2nd place at the 49th World Series of Poker, earning his best live cash of $629,378.
Throughout his career, Porter showcased has talent by winning three bracelets at the 39th, 42nd, and 47th World Series of Poker events. Additionally, he made it to multiple WPT final tables and cashed in numerous casinos across various countries.
Ralph Porter recorded his first live cash in September 2003, he participated in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the United States Poker Championship in Atlantic City, where he finished in 4th place and cashed $9,720.
Years after, he played in the $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold’em at the 38th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2007, finishing in 39th place and earning $237,865.
In June 2008, he took his skills to the next level by winning the $1,500 Short-handed No Limit Hold’em event at the 39th World Series of Poker, securing 1st place and cashing $372,843.
Additionally, in June 2011, Porter competed in the $2,500 Seven Card Razz event at the 42nd World Series of Poker, where he again finished in 1st place and earned $210,615.
Moreover, in July 2013, he placed 12th in the $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold’em at the 44th World Series of Poker, earning $573,204.
Then, in June 2018, he achieved a remarkable 2nd place finish in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship at the 49th World Series of Poker, cashing $629,378.
In a recent appearance in May 2024, he entered the $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha – 8-Handed event at the 55th World Series of Poker, finishing in 21st place and winning $23,667.
