PJ Cha’s poker career began with his first live cash in October 2002. He participated in a $300 + 40 No Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Finals in Mashantucket. PJ placed 21st and cashed for $658.

In November 2021, PJ played in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event Event #67 at the 52nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He achieved 661st place and earned $20,000.

Subsequently, in June 2022, he competed in a $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Event #40
