Philip Shing grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Virginia in 2003 to study Computer Science at William & Mary and graduated in 2005. In 2009, he went to Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania to pursue a double degree in Computational Finance and Economics, finishing in 2011.

Moving forward, on February 7th, 2020, he finished 1st in a $1,700 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event at the WSOPC Potawatomi, Milwaukee. He won a cash prize of $151,284.
