Phil Ruffin is a businessman and cash game poker player known for his appearances on High Stakes Poker. He owns the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino and Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. Additionally, Ruffin holds a 50% stake in the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas. 

Phil Ruffin: Early Life

Phil was born on March 14th, 1935, in Texas to a grocery store owner. He was a national wrestling champion in high school, which earned him a college scholarship. However, he dropped out of college early and began selling burgers. He used the profits to invest in convenience stores. His business venture led to success, allowing him to expand into strip malls, office parks, and hotels.
