After winning his bracelet, he signed a sponsorship deal with PokerStars, and eventually left in July 2010 to take a break.
Eastgate auctioned his 39th WSOP bracelet to raise funds for children through the UNICEF Foundation, it sold for $147,500. A few years later, in 2013, Eastgate publicly quit poker to explore new paths. He pursued studies in engineering and education but ended up dropping both. Currently, Eastgate is living a quiet and simpler life in his hometown.
