Pete Chen

Pete Yen Han Chen is a skilled poker player from Sijhih City in Taiwan. In his career, he has earned more than $4,499,934 (at the time of writing) from poker tournaments alone. Pete Chen, also known as Chen Yen Han in Taiwan, Chen is the new ambassador to join Team WPT Global Am. He is the second-best poker player in Taiwan, and his biggest payday was $382,122 from a single poker tournament.

Pete Chen: Poker Career

In October 2013, Chen won his first tournament, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Macau, for $5,416. The following year, he flew to Seoul to compete in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour, where he finished second and won $5,729. He also competed in the Macau Poker Cup in August of the same year, winning $6,165. He also traveled to the Philippines in December of that year to compete in the Asian Poker Tour in Manila, where he won first place and $7,939.

Pete Chen has traveled all over the world, particularly to Asia, to compete in different tournaments. He achieved impressive results, including winning first place and $299,485 at the World Poker Tour in Beijing in April 2017. Pete also finished second at the Manila Megastack 7 in June of that year, winning $1,647. He also competed in the 48th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas that year, finishing second. Pete won the Wynn Fall Classic in Las Vegas in October 2021, earning $289,193 after a successful run in numerous tournaments. He won the online Ultra Deepstack at the WSOP 2021, earning a bracelet and the main prize of over $80,000. Pete has been a dedicated poker player, finishing first in the majority of his tournaments. 

He won the Lucky Sevens Bounty on GGPoker at the World Series of Poker Online in early September 2022, earning his second bracelet and over 115,000 US dollars in prize money.

Chen took third place in the WSOP 2023, which is currently being held at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and the Paris Las Vegas, and received more than $215,000.
