Early Life

Per Ummer was born and raised in Sweden but eventually settled in Cyprus, where he has lived for many years. Early in his career, he worked as a software developer, which gave him a deep familiarity with the internet. This expertise naturally led him to discover online poker, where he primarily enjoyed playing cash games.

Per Ummer’s first live cash was recorded in September 2004 at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona. He participated in €100 No Limit Hold’em, placing 13th and earned $1,041.

He achieved his best live payout in May 2002 by competing in $10,000 Championship Event – No Limit Hold’em at the L.A. Poker Classic. He secured 6th place, bringing home $199,296 in prize money.
