Paul Zibits recorded his first live cash in April 1999. He participated in a $2,500 Limit Hold’em event at the 30th WSOP in Las Vegas. There, he finished in 7th place and earned $14,810, his best live cash to date.

Subsequently, in April 2002, he competed in a $5,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the 2002 Legends of Poker in Los Angeles, Bell Gardens. He placed 10th and cashed for $10,950.
