Paul Evans’ first recorded live cash occurred in June 1997 at Pot Of Gold in Reno. He finished in 3rd place in a $100 + 20 Limit Hold’em, cashing $5,600.

In May 2000, Paul played in a $3,000 + 80 No Limit Hold’em at the 31st World Series Of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 2nd place and earned $171,570.
