Patrick Poels is an American professional poker player from Mesa, Arizona, with over $968K in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $270,100 came when he clinched his first bracelet at the 36th WSOP in June 2005. Year later, he clinched his second bracelet at the 37th WSOP in July 2006. Poels also earned a ring at the WSOPC Caesars Palace in July 2006.

Patrick Poels’s first recorded live cash occurred in March 2002 at the Sport of Kings in Inglewood. He finished in 7th place in a $100 + 20 7 Card Stud, cashing $420.

In June 2005, Patrick played in a $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo at the 36th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He clinched victory and won his biggest live cash of $270,100.

At the WSOP Circuit Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in April 2006, he won a cash prize of $48,189. Patrick participated in a $1,500 + 70 No Limit Hold’em and clinched victory.

Later in July of that year, he participated in a $1,000 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo at the 37th WSOP. He continued his winning streak by securing his second bracelet and won $172,091.

On March 25th, 2008, Patrick entered in a $7,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em – Championship Event at the WPT World Poker Challenge in Reno. He finished in 9th place and earned $ 56,198.

Shortly after, on April 11th, 2008, he joined in a $2,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em at the WPT World Championship in Las Vegas. He reached reached the final table by placing 2nd and cashed $109,940.

Most recently, in June 2010, he competed in a $2,500 Limit Deuce to Seven Triple Draw at the 41st WSOP. Patrick placed 10th and cashed $13,232.
