Omran Sanusi, also known as “Sam,” is an American poker player from West Covina, California, who has earned over $658K in live tournament winnings. His largest live cash, amounting to $100,000, was achieved when he won the $500,000 Freeroll event in Los Angeles, Bell Gardens, in December 2001.
Omran Sanusi recorded his first live cash in October 1997 when he participated in a $100 Limit Hold’em tournament at the 10 Days of Poker in Lake Elsinore. He finished in 4th place and pocketed $1,425.
Subsequently, in June 2001, Sanusi competed in a $300 + $30 Limit Hold’em event at the California State Poker Championship in Los Angeles. There, he finished in first place and won $85,692.
A month later, in July 2001, Sanusi took part in a $100 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Split event at the Stars and Stripes tournament in Los Angeles. Once again, he emerged victorious, earning $70,870.
