Omran Sanusi recorded his first live cash in October 1997 when he participated in a $100 Limit Hold’em tournament at the 10 Days of Poker in Lake Elsinore. He finished in 4th place and pocketed $1,425.

Subsequently, in June 2001, Sanusi competed in a $300 + $30 Limit Hold’em event at the California State Poker Championship in Los Angeles. There, he finished in first place and won $85,692.
