Noah Schwartz’s story begins when he was only 16 years old, facing his father’s diagnosis of lung cancer. He felt lost and confused, questioning why this was happening to him and watching his hero struggle was incredibly tough. To find solace during these challenging times, he turned to poker, introduced to him by a childhood friend. During this time, he pursued his education at Florida International University with the invaluable support of an academic scholarship.

Poker became his refuge and a means to cope with the pain of his father’s battle with cancer. Despite being a temporary escape from reality, it provided Noah with strength and hope. After his father’s passing, he experienced a sense of purposelessness but made the decision to pay tribute to his memory. Committed to a life shaped by his father’s teachings and values, he embraced a meaningful journey. These values emphasized respect, resilience, and being present in the moment.

Noah’s professional poker career began at 21, marked by both successes and setbacks. He initially quit his job to pursue his passion for poker but experienced financial losses and stress. Nevertheless, he refused to give up, and with the support of his partner, he continues to chase his dream.

Noah Schwartz: Poker Career

His poker career began in 2007 with promising results. Initially, he participated in $5,000 and $10,000 events and even cashed in the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event, finishing 252nd and taking home $45,422. Just a year later, he achieved a remarkable 4th place at the WPT Borgata Winter Open, winning $331,958. This marked his first high career payday at that time. 

Undeterred by setbacks, Schwartz continued to excel with four more final tables in the following years. In 2009, at the 40th Annual World Series of Poker, he secured 8th place, earning $246,834. This was followed by a 3rd place finish at the WPT Festa Al Lago Main Event, pocketing $344,968. 

In 2011, Schwartz continued to bolster his earnings by securing spots at the final tables of both WSOP Europe and the Epic Poker League, amassing $149,740 and $89,680 in winnings, respectively. His success didn’t wane in 2012, with consistently strong tournament earnings.

His memorable tournament moment of the year came in an event he didn’t cash in. Undeterred by this challenge, Schwartz channeled his momentum and newfound confidence into creating One Drop Investments, an LLC he founded. His goal: to secure the buy-in required for the most prestigious event, the $1 million buy-in Big One for One Drop. Unfortunately, he was eliminated on day 2 of the tournament.

However, in November of the same year Schwartz achieved a significant milestone.
