Millie Shiu recorded her first live cash in April 2004, she placed 12th in the $2,500 + 100 Limit Hold’em World Poker Tour Championship in Las Vegas, earning $4,714.

Following this, in May 2004, she finished 2nd in the $1,000 Ladies Limit Hold’em event at the 35th World Series of Poker, cashing $32,200.

In January 2005, Shiu participated in the $7,800 + 200 WPT Main Event – No Limit Hold’em at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Paradise Island, where she finished in 48th place and earned $13,000.
