Mike Laing is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada, with over $1.8 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $331,740 came when he finished in 1st place at the 1st Annual World Poker Challenge in January 2001. Additionally, he clinched his first bracelet at the 25th WSOP in April 1994.

Mike Laing recorded his first live cash in June 1988, he finished 5th in a $500 No Limit Hold’em event at the Summer Poker Festival in Las Vegas, cashing $4,027.

Following this, in August 1989, he placed 2nd in a $1,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 5th Annual Diamond Jim Brady tournament in Los Angeles, earning $67,750.

In April 1994, Laing reached a significant milestone by winning the $2,500 Limit Hold’em event at the 25th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. As a result of his 1st place finish, he received $212,000 and a WSOP bracelet.

Later, in January 1997, he came in 3rd place in the $5,000 + $85 No Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas, cashing $60,000.

Continuing his success, in August 1997, he won the $1,000 + $60 Limit Hold’em event at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic in Las Vegas, taking home $78,000.

Furthermore, in January 2001, he claimed victory in the $5,000 + $80 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the 1st Annual World Poker Challenge in Reno, earning a cash prize of $331,740.

Most recently, in October 2021, Laing participated in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Seniors Championship (Event #52) at the 52nd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 332nd place and earned $2,567.
