Michael “Texas Mike” Moncek

Michael Moncek, also known as “Texas Mike”, is an American professional poker player based in Texas. He has earned over $1.6 million in live poker tournaments and won two WSOP bracelets as well as four WSOP Circuit rings. Moncek, in addition to his success in career tournaments, also participated in Hustler Casino Live and earned a total of $23K in net winnings.

Moncek has only appeared on HCL once as of this writing. He made his HCL debut in Episode 456 “The Chicago Game” in June 2023. He played with Soby, Brazil God, Freddy, and others. They competed in a $25/50/100 No Limit Hold ‘em game. Texas Mike ended the night up $23.1K. Michael has not returned since this episode, making this his only appearance on the live show.

Michael “Texas Mike” Moncek has won two WSOP bracelets and four WSOP Circuit rings from live tournaments. At the 53rd WSOP, he won the $1,500 Limit Hold’em game. It paid him $145,856. Later, in June 2023, he won his second and most recent bracelet at the WSOP by winning the 5,000 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha. This is where he earned his highest live cash of $534K.

He began his poker career in October of 2016. Moncek competed in the $200 No Limit Hold’em event at the WSOP Circuit in Hammond. He finished 17th and received $901. In comparison, his last appearance was in July 2023. He competed in a $25,000 H.O.R.S.E. tournament at the 54th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He came in 11th place and earned $52K.
