Matthew Graham is an American professional poker player from North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, with over $1.8 million in live tournament earnings. He began his career as a pre-med student but decided to drop out of college to pursue poker. During his poker career, he won two bracelets at the 39th and 40th World Series of Poker events, respectively. His best live cash of $679,402 came along with his second bracelet at the 40th WSOP in June 2009.
Matthew Graham’s first recorded live cash occurred in November 2005 at the World Poker Finals in Mashantucket. He finished in 99th place in a $500 + 65 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $936.
In July 2008, Matthew entered a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Shootout at the 39th WSOP in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place, winning $278,180.
Then, in December 2008, Matthew joined in a $5,000 + 180 No Limit Hold’em event at Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic. He clinched another victory, adding $320,000 to his winnings.
In February 2009, Matthew played in a $9,900 + 100 H.O.R.S.E. Championship at the L.A Poker Classic. He was eliminated in 5th place, taking home $65,105.
Later that year, in April, Matthew participated in a $5,000 + 150 No Limit Hold’em Championship at the WSOPC Caesars Palace. He finished in 5th place, pocketing $56,059.
Moreover, Matthew made his mark by securing his second bracelet at the 40th WSOP in June 2009. The payout of $679,402 marked the biggest live cash of his career.
In September 2023, Matthew competed in a $600 No Limit Hold’em – Mystery Bounty Event #1 at the Moneymaker Poker Tour in Cincinnati. He ended up in 33rd place, earning $1,593.
