Maria Stern recorded her first live cash in May 1992. She participated in a $1,000 Women’s 7 Card Stud
at the 23rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. She placed 4th and cashed $6,650.

Subsequently, in April 1997, she competed in a $1,500 7-Card Stud at the 28th WSOP. She clinched victory and secured her biggest live cash of $140,708.

Following this, in February 1998, she entered the $500 + 40 7 Card Stud at the L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles. Maria clinched another victory and won $23,200.

In January 1999, Maria played in a $500 + 40 No Limit Hold’em at the Carnivale of Poker II in Las Vegas. She finished 3rd place and earned $21,185.

During the Sixth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica in January 2005, she achieved 2nd place. She took part in a $500 + 50 7 Card Stud and took home $20,662.

In November 2008, she participated in a $3,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em at the Latin American Poker Tour in San Jose. She placed 8th and cashed for $24,425.
