Lynn Gilmartin was born in Dublin, Ireland, on November 3rd, 1984. She moved to Melbourne, Australia, in 1986, and currently resides in Gold Coast. Transitioning from dreams of hosting a travel series, she pursued education at La Trobe University and RMIT University. She actively participated in acting, dancing, concerts, musicals, and TV commercials during college.

After graduation, Gilmartin enrolled in an advertising diploma and ventured into the poker industry in 2009 as a reporter for PokerNews.com and PokerStar.tv. Hosting prestigious events like the World Series of Poker, European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour, and Asia Pacific Poker Tour, she debuted as the host of the Crown’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship on Australian and English television in 2012.

In 2013, she moved to Los Angeles to lead the twelfth season of the World Poker Tour on Fox Sports and worked as a side-reporter for ESPN Australia’s World Series of Poker Asia Pacific coverage and the Crown’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship.

Beyond poker, Gilmartin hosted the American Poker Awards in 2018 and ventured into film in the same year, earning acclaim for her role in Museo. Her contributions led to induction into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame in January 2020.

Lynn Gilmartin embarked on her poker journey in December 2009. She achieved her inaugural live tournament successes at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour in Sydney. Participating in the A$500 + 50 No Limit Hold’em Ladies Event, she secured an impressive 3rd place, earning $3,032.

Subsequently, in April 2011, Lynn triumphed in the $100 No Limit Hold’em Ladies Event. It took place at the Latin American Poker Tour in Lima, Peru. She finished in 1st place winning a prize of $650.

In September 2011, she demonstrated her skills at the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour in Melbourne. She finished in 7th place in the A$ 300 EJ Whitten Foundation Charity NLH event and cashed for $1,538. 

Progressing to the European Poker Tour in Barcelona in August 2015, Lynn emerged victorious in the € 200 + 20 No Limit Hold’em Women’s Event. She came in 1st place and won a substantial prize of $6,649.

In July 2017, she competed in the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Ladies Championship. It took place during the 48th WSOP in Las Vegas. She achieved a commendable 49th place and earned $2,301. 

The following year, in June 2018, Lynn participated in the Aria 2018 Poker Classic in Las Vegas. She finished in 259th place in the $500 + 65 No Limit Hold’em event with a cash prize of $900.

Fast forward to December 2022, Lynn Gilmartin entered the prestigious WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. She took part in the challenging $9,800 + 600 No Limit Hold’em tournament. Despite facing formidable competition, she secured 91st place, earning a substantial cash prize of $36,500. 

In December 2023, Gilmartin took part in the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. Lynn achieved 454th place in the $9,800 + 600 No Limit Hold’em event, adding $18,700 to her list of poker accolades.
