Lucas Greenwood: Early Life

Lucas Greenwood started playing poker in high school, and by the time he graduated, he had established himself as one of the top SNG players on PokerStars.

He is a skilled tournament player who has earned more than $5 million in online tournament winnings and several mid-five-figure live winnings. He still regularly participates in high-stakes tournaments, especially on Sundays, in WCOOP/SCOOP and live tournaments.

Since November 2006, Lucas Greenwood has played video games online under the user name “yrwthmelthr”. In March 2008, in Calgary, he won his first live tournament. In early January 2010, he placed 21st in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures Main Event for $75,000.

Lucas made his World Series of Poker debut at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. He went on to win two tournaments.

Greenwood received his highest payout to date of almost $900,000 at the Triton Series in London in late July 2023 after taking home the GGMillion Live. In total, Greenwood has made over $5.7 million from live poker tournaments.
