Louis Asmo is an American poker player from Dublin, Ohio, with over $566K in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $231,600 came when he when he clinched his first bracelet at the 28th WSOP in May 1997.
In addition to being a poker player, he is also a Realtor at Executive Realty Services. He attended The Ohio State University for college and later obtained his real estate credits from Columbus State University.
Loius Asmo recorded his first live cash in January 1997, he participated in the $1,500 Limit Hold’em event at the Four Queens Poker Classic in Las Vegas, where he finished 6th and earned $7,118.
Then, in May 1997, he achieved a significant victory by winning the $3,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 28th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas, taking 1st place and cashing $231,600.
Following this success, in April 1999, Asmo entered the $2,500 Seven-Card Stud event at the 30th WSOP, finishing 6th and earning $19,900.
Later that year, in July 1999, he placed 2nd in the Tournament of Champions Mixed Games, securing $107,271.
Years after, in January 2004, Asmo competed in the $10,000 + 200 Main Event No Limit Hold’em at the Fifth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica, where he finished 24th for $20,730.
Subsequently, in June 2006, he played in the $10,000 + 200 WPT Championship Event No Limit Hold’em at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, finishing 26th and cashing $20,160.
Most recently, in May 2017, Asmo participated in the $250 No Limit Hold’em #1 at the Deepstack Extravaganza III in Las Vegas, finishing 55th and earning $574.
