Kirill Shugai is a Russian poker player with over $129K in live tournament earnings. His largest live cash of $61,720 came from winning the $1,000 NLHE event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Besides his success in live events, Kirill also competes in online poker, where he notably clinched $13,245 by winning the $500 PLO event at WPT Montreal.

Kirill Shugai’s first live cash was recorded in June 2013. He participated in a €50 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2013 Casino Barcelona Recurring Tournaments. Shugai finished 8th and pocketed $302. 

In December 2013, he placed 4th in a €1,500 + 150 Pot Limit Omaha event at the European Poker Tour in Prague, cashing for $30,147. 

His biggest achievement came in January 2014. He won the $1,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Paradise Island. Shugai claimed $61,720 as the grand prize. 

Most recently, in March 2021, he finished 14th in a ₽38,500 Pot Limit Omaha Bounty Event. It took place at the European Poker Tour in Sochi. He took home $793.

Shugai’s Bad Beat Jackpot on GGPoker

Kirill Shugai claimed a significant portion of the $210,427.06 pot at a $10/$20 PLO table when his four-of-a-kind fell to a straight flush, triggering a GGPoker promotion. This unexpected turn of events left Shugai ecstatic, turning what could have been a loss into a substantial gain of thousands of dollars in buy-ins.

Kirill received $129,893 for losing the hand, while “tonynguyen88” won $40,537 for taking it down.

Shugai on Online Poker

Kirill Shugai entered in Event #14 of the $500 + 30 Pot Limit Omaha Mini Knockout during the PokerGo‘s Poker Masters Online series in June 2020. He finished 6th, pocketing $943.

In January 2021, he finished 1st in the $530 Pot Limit Omaha KO tournament during the WPT Montreal Online, securing $13,245 in winnings.

His participation in the WSOP Online hosted by GGPoker in September 2022 saw him finish 276th in the $400 Pot Limit Omaha PLOSSUS ONLINE event, with a cash prize of $790.
