Malaysian poker player Wai Kiat Lee has established himself as a top poker player. He is often seen playing the high rollers at Triton poker. He is currently inside the top 200 on the All-Time Money List. Kiat Lee currently sits in 8th spot on the Malaysia All-Time Money List.
Lee has been playing live games professionally for ten years. The UK was where Lee’s early success was mainly focused. Kiat Lee won a Deep-Stacked Main Event in Nottingham on July 2, 2015. His first five-figure win, $78,314.
Over the following months, he had a string of final-table victories. He won the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour’s Main Event for $50,364 almost a year later. This encouraged him to give the World Series of Poker circuit in Las Vegas a try in 2016. Unfortunately it did not yield him much success.
Lee continued to travel the world to improve his skills after that. In addition to Manila, he also performed in Melbourne, Macau, Las Vegas, London, Prague, and Barcelona. A total of $114,071 was won by Lee in two World Poker Tour High Roller events in March 2019 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, where he placed 2nd in both.
Kiat Lee made a breakthrough in the year 2020. His first six-figure win came in March 2020 when he won the bronze medal in a Short Deck Hold’em game at the partypoker Millions Sochi Super High Roller for $374,520.
Lee decided to play online poker during the coronavirus pandemic. It produced not much success. when live poker returned, Lee resumed his preference for Short Deck Hold’em.
In Kyrenia, Cyprus, in April 2022, he went on the offensive and won three Short Deck Hold’em tournaments. First, he finished in second place at the Triton Poker circuit in Kyrenia, Cyprus, earning an incredible $840,000 for the victory— it is one of his best wins.
Five months later, in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Kyrenia, Cyprus, Lee showed off his Short Deck skills once more, taking second and third place for a total payout of $570,000.
He began 2023 by winning first and fourth place in No Limit Hold’em tournament’s at the Poker Dream Malaysia. Earning a total of $97,083, and now currently holds the 8th spot on Malaysia’s all-time money list with $7,679,875 in total live earnings.

Kiat Lee recently competed in the $200,000 No-Limit Hold’em Invitational – 2023 Triton Super High Roller Series in Cyprus, where he managed to place sixth. This earned him his biggest tournament cash of $1,030,000. He regularly competes in many tournaments, particularly those in the Triton Series.
