Following this, in April 1997, he won the $2,000 Limit Hold’em event at the 28th World Series of Poker, taking home $397,120.

Later that same year, in August 1997, he won the $5,000 + 80 Championship Event No Limit Hold’em at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic in Las Vegas, with a prize of $184,000.

In December 2006, Song achieved further success by winning the $1,500 + 90 No Limit Hold’em event at the Fifth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, earning $253,560.
