Josh Arieh: Early Life

Born on September 26, 1974, in Rochester, New York, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, when he was eight years old. Initially, he played pool in the local halls; however, he often waited for the pool games to finish so everyone could switch to poker. Watching skilled gamblers play at the poker tables sparked his interest in the game’s strategy. Consequently, he began focusing on poker, playing in home games around Atlanta to build his bankroll.

In the late 90s, he entered his first major tournament, where he won his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet, marking the beginning of his poker career. By 2021, he had been awarded WSOP Player of the Year.
