Joseph Brooks’ first recorded live cash came in September 2004 at the WPT Borgata Poker Open. He finished in 17th place in a $1,000 + $60 No Limit Hold’em event, cashing $3,645.

In April 2005, Joseph entered the $25,000 + 500 No Limit Hold’em Championship – Main Event at the Third Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic. He finished in 47th place, taking home $37,740.
