41 year old Argentinian pro Jose Barbero AKA Nacho is well-known when it comes to his success throughout his poker career. In 2010, he won two of his three career Latin American Poker Tour titles and a £25,000 European Poker Tour High Roller for over $1.4 million.
Barbero was born on February 15, 1982. He was playing cards competitively at an early age. He is also known for having great skill in Magic: The Gathering. This game became a part of the Argentinian National Team in the Magic Tournament because of him. Natural talent enabled him to advance in online ranks.In 2008, he achieved his biggest cash in online with nicknames “joseba” and “jozzeb” at Super Tuesday.
Jose Barbero began his career with $23,000 Paris event win and $33,700 Barcelona Open Tournament win. In 2010, he won the European Poker Tour London 20.000 High Roller. He also won two LAPT Main Events, in Uruguay and Peru. He mostly plays in South America, cashing in Peru, Panama, Uruguay, Colombia, Brazil and his hometown Argentina
He finished fifth at WSOP Shootout 2013 and second at Open Face Chinese Poker Tournament. He later on change his name to Jose “Nacho” Barbero and secure his total winnings of over $2.5 million.

As he was eager to win his very own WSOP bracelet, he got this during the Event #67: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em for a prize of $587,520.
Recently, he finished fourth in the 2023 PokerStars Platers NL Hold’em Championship for $1,551,300, this is the biggest cash of his career.
