Joris “BillLewinsky” Ruijs

Joris Ruijs, known online as “BillLewinsky,” is a Dutch professional poker player from Rotterdam, Netherlands. He has amassed over $2.5 million in live tournament earnings, with his largest live cash being $571,043. Ruijs is currently ranked 7th on the Netherlands All-Time Money List.

Transitioning from live settings to the virtual felt, Ruijs has also made a name for himself. He secured a $530 NLHE Sunday Million SE title during the 2019 SCOOP, earning a career-best $217,140. Additionally, he won a WCOOP title in 2019 for $70,158. To date, his online poker earnings total nearly $12 million.

Joris Ruijs: Live Tournament Participation

Joris Ruijs began his poker career in April 2010. He participated in a €400 + 40 No Limit Hold’em event during the Easter Series of Poker in Rotterdam. He finished in 3rd place and earned $5,613.

Subsequently, in November 2017, Ruijs competed in a €10,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em High Roller Event at the Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam City Centre. He finished 1st and won $242,746.

Building on this success, on August 29th, 2018, he took 1st place in a €2,200 No Limit Hold’em event at the European Poker Tour in Barcelona, winning $302,873. 

Just three days later, on August 31st, 2018, he finished 3rd in a €10,300 No Limit Hold’em High Roller Event at the same tour, earning $571,043.

In March 2022, Ruijs furthered his accomplishments by winning the $3,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Merit Poker Series in Kyrenia. He won $294,510.

Moreover, in December 2023, he claimed 1st place in a $10,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em 8-Max at the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. He won $359,099.

Most recently, in July 2024, Ruijs participated in a $600 No Limit Hold’em Turbo event at The Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas. He finished 10th and cashed for $2,606.

He also clinched a $530 NLHE Bounty Builder title during the 2019 WCOOP for $70,158.
