Jordan Erickson Cristos, also known as “the tanking guy,” is an American professional poker player from Palmdale who currently resides in Los Angeles. He has accumulated earnings exceeding $3.6M from live tournaments, with his highest live cash totaling $613K. Cristos won the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker in 2013 and was the 2019 U.S. Poker Open champion.
Jordan Cristos was raised in Palmdale. He moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to study psychology at Antelope Valley College and completed his Associate degree in 2008.
Cristos was first seen in a recorded live tournament in May 2008. He placed 63rd in a $1,500 No Limit Hold’em at the 39th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Cristos took home $11,262.
He won in a $3,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em in August 2013. Cristos entered the Legends of Poker, Los Angeles (Bell Gardens), taking home his biggest live cash of $613,355.
In March 2016, he also secured 1st place in a $1,600 No Limit Hold’em #51 at the Deep Stack Extravaganza I, Las Vegas. Cristos won $132,480.
Continuing his winning streak, in December 2016 at the WSOPC Bicycle Casino, Los Angeles. He participated in a $200 + 40 No Limit Hold’em (Event #20). He won a substantial $148,969.
Moreover, Cristos participated in U.S. Poker Open Event #2 of the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha in February 2019 at the USPO in Las Vegas. He remains on the top and cashed $179,200.
At the 50th WSOP in Las Vegas, he participated in a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #89) in July 2019. He finished in 4th place and took home $182,575.
In addition, he continued his career by playing online on July 19th 2020 at WSOP Online by GGPoker. He took part in a $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief (Event #33) securing 326th place and cashed $2,249.
