Joni Jouhkimainen

Joni Jouhkimainen is a professional poker player from Finland, known for his impressive career earnings exceeding $6.6 million and his highest live cash of $496,436. He currently ranks 3rd on Finland’s All Time Money List and serves as a coach at Run It Once. Additionally, he holds an online bracelet obtained during the WSOP Online – in September 2022.

Joni Jouhkimainen: Live Tournament Participation

Joni Jouhkimainen’s first live tournament was recorded in December 2009 in the Italian Poker Tour in Sanremo. He finished 6th in a €2,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and took home $31,783.

During the EPT in Barcelona in August 2012, Joni secured 3rd place in a €5,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em Main Event. He achieved his best live cash earning a cash prize of $496,436.

Participating in the partypoker MILLIONS North America in Kahnawake in May 2019, Jouhkimainen joined in a buy-in of C$ 10,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em. He finished in 3rd place adding $353,060 to his total earnings. 

In November 2021, he entered the World Series of Poker Europe in Rozvadov. He placed 2nd in a €24,600 + 400 No Limit Hold’em Platinum High Roller earning $362,518.

In addition, he secured 3rd place in the Super High Roller Series Europe in Kyrenia in April 2022. Joni took part in a $50,000 Pot Limit Omaha event cashing $256,000.

He was also seen participating  in the WPT World Championship in Wynn, Las Vegas in December 2023. He played in a $25,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em High Roller finishing 5th and earning $295,116.

Most recently, Joni cashed $20,099 in a $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship 8-Handed event at the 55th WSOP in Las Vegas in June 2024. 

Joni Jouhkimainen Won 2022 WSOP Online – International

Jouhkimainen achieved an online bracelet by winning the WSOP Online – International in September 2022. He joined in a $840 No Limit Hold’em – 6-Handed Bounty finishing in first place and earning a grand prize of $66,004.
