John Strzemp II first recorded live cash occurred in January 1983 during the Stairway to the Stars in Las Vegas. He finished in 9th place in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $800.

In May 1998, John played in a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship at the 28th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He finished in 2nd place and secured his biggest live cash of $583,000.

At the Fifth Annual Five Diamond World Poker Classic in Las Vegas in December 2006, he earned a cash prize of $148,640. John participated in a $2,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em and secured 2nd place.

Following this, in April 2008, John competed in a $25,000 + 500 No Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Tour – World Championship in Las Vegas. He placed 81st and earned $39,570.

Later in July of that year, he participated in a $10,000 World Championship No Limit Hold’em at the 39th WSOP. John placed 538th and took home $25,090.

During the Wynn Signature Weekend in Las Vegas in November 2017, he clinched victory. John took part in a $545 + 55 No Limit Hold’em and $66,351 added to his winnings.

Most recently, in April 2022, he competed in a $400 No Limit Hold’em – Senior at the Wynn Signature Series in Las Vegas. John placed 20th and cashed $916.
