John Roveto Sr is an American poker player from Duluth, Georgia, with over $1.8 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $923,355 came when he finished in 3rd place at the WPT World Championship in April 2008.
John Roveto Sr. recorded his first live cash in May 2004, he participated in a $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event at the Bellagio Weekly Tournaments in Las Vegas, where he placed 8th and received $2,541.
Two years later, in April 2006, he entered the Fourth Annual Five-Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, competing in a $1,500 + $70 No Limit Hold’em event, where he secured 3rd place and took home $65,720.
After another two-year gap, in January 2008, Roveto continued his journey by competing in the WPT Borgata Winter Open in Atlantic City. He played a $9,700 + $300 No Limit Hold’em Championship Event, finishing 11th and earning $63,932.

Following this, Roveto participated in the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series in June 2024. Specifically, on June 20, he played in the $1,600 No Limit Hold’em Seniors event, where he took 6th place and took home $85,960.
In June 26th, 2024, he entered the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em Super Seniors event at the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series, finishing 8th and cashing $6,255.
