John’s first recorded live cash occurred in June 2000 at the Northwest Iowa Poker Championship. He finished in 2d place in a $50 + 10 Half Omaha/Half Hold’em, cashing $2,085.

In January 2002, John entered in a $500 Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Challenge in Reno. He made 1st place finish, winning a prize of $31,351.

In July 2006, John played in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em at th 37th WSOP in Las Vegas. He ended up in 3rd place, securing his best live cash of $209,555 to date.

Following this, in June 2007, he participated in a $1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better at the 38th WSOP. John finished in 4th place, taking home $60,749.

Later that year, in September, he joined in a $500 + 60 No Limit Hold’em at the WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City. John ended up in 2nd place, claiming $65,800.

Then, in February 2008, John took part in a $1,060 No Limit Hold’em at the Deep Stack Extravaganza in Las Vegas. He made 1st place finish, winning $66,411.

In April 2024, John competed in a $500 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better Event #2 at the Borgata Spring Poker Open in Atlantic City. He ended up in 2nd place, earning $8,159.
