John “Muscles” Gordon

John “muscles” Gordon is an American professional poker player from Tampa, Florida, with over $1.4 million in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $162,289 came when he finished in 1st place at The Wynn Classic in March 2008. Additionally, he clinched his first WSOP Ring at the WSOP Circuit Tunica in September 2006.

John Gordon’s journey began with a significant performance at the 26th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in May 1995, where he competed in a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em event and secured 2nd place, earning $124,500.

In September 2006, Gordon continued to make a mark by winning the $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em event at the WSOP Circuit in Tunica, Robinsonville. This victory not only granted him $100,727 but also earned him a coveted WSOP ring.

The following month, in October 2006, he demonstrated his skill further by clinching 1st place at the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship in Las Vegas. This win brought him a prize of $111,800.

Gordon’s achievements continued into the 2010s. In March 2008, he excelled at The Wynn Classic in Las Vegas, where he won the $3,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em event, earning $162,289.

Later, in August 2013, Gordon reached the final table of the 2013 Legends of Poker in Los Angeles, finishing in 6th place in the $3,500 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Main Event and cashing $85,080.

Most recently, in July 2024, Gordon participated in the SHR Tampa Deepstacks Challenge in Tampa, where he competed in a $400 No Limit Hold’em event and finished 63rd, earning $1,100.
