John Henson’s first recorded live cash occurred in December 1990 during the National Finals in Las Vegas. He finished in 1st place in a $300 + 30 Lowball, winning $12,000.

On August 20th, 1995, John played in a $300 + 30 No Limit Hold’em during the Legends of Poker. He clinched another victory place and won $33,720.

Shortly after, on August 29th, 1995, he competed in a $5,000 + 75 No Limit Hold’em – Championship at the same event. He finished in 2nd place and earned a cash prize of $33,600.
