Jim Shaw is an American poker player from Lawton, Oklahoma, with over $114k in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $30,145 came when he won at the Caesars Palace Classic in October 2007.

Jim Shaw’s first recorded live cash occurred in August 2004 at the Fourth Annual Jack Binion Mid-America Poker Classic. He finished in 32nd place in a $2,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Championship, cashing $5,448.

Following this, in February 2006, Jim entered in a $200 + 30 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo at the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker. He made 1st place finish, winning $10,508.

Then, in February 2007, he returned to the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker for another $200 + 30 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. Jim ended up in 2nd place, pocketing $9,479.

Later that year, in October, Jim participated in a $1,000 + 60 No Limit Hold’em at the Caesars Palace Classic. He finished in 1st place, winning his best live cash of $30,145.

In January 2008, Jim played in a $1,000 + 70 No Limit Hold’em at the Gold Strike World Poker Open in Tunica. He made 7th place finish, taking home $8,020.

Fast foward to September 2015. He joined in a $3,300 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Championship Main Event #18 at the WPT Borgata Poker Open. Jim placed 32nd, claiming $12,821.

In March 2019, Jim competed in a $250 No Limit Hold’em – Seniors Event #1 at the  WSOP Circuit in Tulsa. He ended up in 9th place, earning $1,202.
