Jim Karambinis recorded his first live cash in May 1992. He participated in a $2,500 Hold’em Pot Limit
during the 23rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. He placed 17th and cashed $2,680.

In January 2002, Jim played in a $1,000 + 60 Pot Limit Texas Hold’em during the Third Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open in Tunica. He finished in 1st place and won $50,828.

Following this, in January 2003, he entered the $10,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em Championship – WPT
at The Fourth Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open. Jim secured 14th place and earned $15,270.
