Jesse Lonis: Early Life

Born and raised in Little Falls, USA, Lonis started to learn poker at the age of 10 from her grandmother, who constantly played online poker tournaments on the now-defunct Full Tilt Poker. During that time, he would also participate in his uncle’s home games. When he turned 18, he would visit Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, where he started playing cash games.

Jesse Lonis: Poker Career

Jesse “Dangerous22” Lonis started his poker career by joining the 2018 Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel Recurring Tournaments in Niagara Falls in March. Lonis ended up in 3rd place in that tournament.

After that, he kept on participating in several tournaments in 2019. Such as the 2019 Fall Coast Classic held in Lincoln City and the 2019 Wynn Fall Classic in Las Vegas in September. He placed 8th in both tournaments and 3rd in the World Poker Tour’s WPT Seminole Rock & Roll Poker Open in Hollywood in November.

Also, Jesse Lonis obtained his first WSOP bracelet in The $1,000 No Limit Hold’em 6-Max ONLINE (Online Bracelet Event #8)in September 2022, earning a total of $73,371.

In 2023, a January victory happened again at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Nassau after he won 1st place, which earned him almost $367K in cash prizes. Shortly after, in March, he marked a 1st at the World Series of Poker Circuit Super Circuit, an online tournament with a total of $14,430 in winnings. He gained the biggest win of his career with a top prize of $2,303,017 in his first-ever participation in the 54th World Series of Poker in June in Las Vegas, where he also gained his second WSOP bracelet.

Conclusion

Being introduced to the poker world at such a young age and rising to become the “Dangerous 22″‘ today demonstrates that he is truly destined for the poker world. As dangerous as it may sound, being exposed within his family indicates that poker really runs in his blood, and after winning his biggest game just recently this year, there is no doubt that he is one to look out for in today’s generation of poker players in the industry.
