Jerry Zehr is an American poker player, author, speaker from Carmel, Indiana, with over $401.2K in live tournament earnings. His best live cash of $31,590 came when he finished in 3rd place at the Hollywood Poker Open in May 2017.
He is also the author of ‘Blurring the Lines‘ (2012) and ‘The Peacemaker’s Path‘ (2021).
With a passion for communication, he attended Ball State University in 1973, pursuing a degree in Speech and Theater, and graduated in 1977. He then attended Christian Theological Seminary from 1980 to 1985, where he earned his Master of Divinity. Since 1995, he has inspired countless audiences as a dynamic speaker, motivating others with his powerful words. His competitive spirit took off in June 2001 when he entered his first live tournament, and he hasn’t stopped since, continuing to compete and excel to this day.
Jerry Zehr first recorded live cash occurred in June 2001 during the Summer Tournament in Paris. He finished in 8th place in a FF100 Pot Limit Omaha, cashing $158.
In November 2009, Jerry played in a $1,390 + 110 No Limit Hold’em during the WPT Regional Hollywood Fall Classic in Lawrenceburg. He finished in 1st place and won $11,467.
Following this, in February 2011, Jerry entered in a $1,600 No Limit Hold’em – Main Event at the WSOPC in West Palm Beach. He secured 11th place and earned $15,810.
At the Phamous Poker Series in Las Vegas in June 2015, he earned a cash prize of $20,814. Jerry participated in a $300 No Limit Hold’em and finished in 5th place.
In May 2017, he secured his biggest live cash to date of $31,590 at the Hollywood Poker Open in Columbus. Jerry took place in a $1,100 No Limit Hold’em #10 and placed 3rd.
Fast forward to October 2021. At the 52nd WSOP in Las Vegas, he earned a prize of $20,450. In this event, Jerry competed in a $330 + 70 No Limit Hold’em UltimateStack Event #8 and finished in 12th place.
In April 2024, he finished 2nd place at the Hard Rock Cincinnati Queen City Bounty Series, taking home $8,425.
