Jerry Young first recorded live cash occurred in April 2004 at the WPT Championship in Las Vegas. He finished in 5th place in a $2,500 + 100 No Limit Hold’em, cashing $21,450.

In October 2004, Jerry played in a $10,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em during the  Festa al Lago III Poker Tournament. He placed 33rd and cashed $15,000.

Following this, he entered in a $3,000 + 100 No Limit Hold’em at the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic in December 2004. He finished in 1st place and won his biggest live cash of $329,384 .

Continuing his career, in January 2005, Jerry joined in a $7,800 + 200 No Limit Hold’em Main Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. He placed 65th and earned $11,600.

Later in July of that year, he participated in a $2,000 No Limit Hold’em at the 36th WSOP in Las Vegas. Jerry finished in 3rd place and took home $223,010.

Moreover, engaged in a $10,000 + 200 No Limit Hold’em during the Bellagio Festa Al Lago IV in October 2005. He placed 84th and cashed $12,000.

In October 2014, Jerry competed in a $230 No Limit Hold’em – Seniors Event #5 at the Heartland Poker Tour in St. Charles. He ended up in 6th place, earning $2,462.
