Jeremy Ausmus is a 43 year old professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. He has earned six World Series of Poker bracelets and has a total earnings of over $15 million in tournaments. As a high stakes professional poker player, he has a good record in winning on the high roller poker tournament circuit. He is also an advocate for the benefit of the poker community. Ausmus is considered as one of the most respected players.
He was born and raised in Lamar, Colorado. He spent his teen years in a wood shop as a cabinet maker while studying at Colorado State University. He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics. His hobbies include chess, guitar, piano and drinking beer. It was in his senior year that he started playing poker seriously. After graduating, there was a pause whether he will play poker for a living or pick an entry job related to Economics. As he did the math, he knew that he would earn more when he chose poker. For the first four years of playing career, he grinded cash games online. For Ausmus, his greatest achievement is being a father.
Ranked 61st WSOP All Time money list. He also ranked as the 32nd in United States All Time Money List with Best Live Cash of $2,155,313.
In 2012, he won over $2.1 million and placed fifth in the World Series of Poker Main Event. This is before he won his first WSOP bracelet the next year. Ausmus placed second in the $10,000 Six-Max Championship for $414,104 as his winning prize last 2014.
He got his second WSOP bracelet in Event #3: $1,000 Covid 19 Relief NLHE Charity Event and dashed for over $5.7 million.Later in the same series, outlasting the pro- heavy $50,000 PLO Hugh Roller for $1,188,918. The second highest score of his career after his fifth- place finish in the 2012 WSOP Main Event.
He defeated both Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth to triumph in Event#84: $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller. He collected his third bracelet in 2021.
Ausmus came back six months later to the 2022 WSOP where he defeated pro Michael Roxxo heads-up in the $3,000 Limit Hold’em and took home his fourth bracelet. He won $142,147 for this event. In September same year, he claimed his fifth WSOP bracelet when he beat Nick Schulman in a domestic WSOP Online. Winning a prize of $51,807 for first-place.

He was last seen in the 2023 WSOP with gold bracelet and $360,036 in a $3,200 Online NLHE event. This is his sixth career World Series of Poker bracelet. With this milestone, he is now in a 11-way tie for fifth place for all-time bracelet leaderboard. Claiming the 19th spot in history to win six and above WSOP bracelets.
With the increasing number of his achievements, he is still in awe about the fact of collecting his bracelets in a short amount of time. From his first bracelet that he won almost a decade ago versus his five bracelets that he got under two years. Specifically for 629 days.
