Jeffrey William Yoak recorded his first live cash in January 2001. He participated in a $75 + 15 Limit Hold’em event at Crazy Eight 2 in Inglewood. Yoak placed 7th and pocketed $380.

Subsequently, on September 8th, 2001, Yoak competed in a $100 + 20 No Limit Hold’em tournament at the 2001 Heavenly Hold’em in Los Angeles. He finished 1st and took home $23,066. He continued his success at the same event. Yoak finished 1st again on September 11th, 2001, in a $200 + 20 No Limit Hold’em tournament and securing $24,624 in prize money.

In February 2006, Yoak participated in the 2006 L.A. Poker Classic in Los Angeles. He took part in a $1,455 + 125 No Limit Hold’em event. He finished in 7th place and cashed for $8,948.
