Jean Noel Thorel 

Jean Noel Thorel is a 76 year old Parisian native who loves playing poker and led him to earn more than $2,830,000 in live tournament cashes since 2008. Being a successful businessman, Thorel prefers the High Roller tournaments where the competition is at its toughest. As he started as a recreational player, his performance in these tournaments is nothing short of amazing. He reached more than a dozen final tables. 

Early Life

He is the Founder and President at NAOS (Bioderma – Institut Esthederm-Etat-Pur) , a beauty industry. By profession, he is a pharmacist-biologist. 

Jean Noel Thorel: Poker Career Highlights

He finished runner up to Chin Wei Lim. Out of the 72 entries in the €100,000 No Limit Hold’em WSOP Diamond High Roller for a career high €1.34 million. He also won his first ever title at the same event.

At the annual pre-Christmas jaunt to the EuropeanPoker Tour (EPT) in Prague with 28 entries, he collected €248,740 after beating a set of excellent players. Thorel now has $7.2 million in live tournament winnings for his career. In a €25k No Limit Hold’em Event in this series in 2015, he came in second to Rainer Kempe. 

Conclusion

Thorel is more motivated than ever to win a significant live tournament after so many runner up finishes. He continues to make appearances on the European circuit and is always a welcome addition to the High Roller scene.  

Now, Thorel or JNT as he’s commonly known in the field, is the oldest player in the Triton Series. His also known for his most fearless and unpredictable as a High Roller regular.
