James Worth recorded his first live cash in March 2002, he entered a $100 Omaha Hi/Lo Split event at the Station Poker Classic in Regina, where he secured 7th place and collected $885.
Not long after, in June 2003, Worth competed in a $1,000 + $60 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament at the Festa al Lago in Las Vegas, ultimately achieving 2nd place and taking home $26,772.
Following this early success, he participated in the WSOP Circuit Championship Event No Limit Hold’em in San Diego in February 2005, which featured a buy-in of $10,000 + $200. There, he placed 4th, amassing $158,840.
