James Worth recorded his first live cash in March 2002, he entered a $100 Omaha Hi/Lo Split event at the Station Poker Classic in Regina, where he secured 7th place and collected $885.

Not long after, in June 2003, Worth competed in a $1,000 + $60 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament at the Festa al Lago in Las Vegas, ultimately achieving 2nd place and taking home $26,772.

Following this early success, he participated in the WSOP Circuit Championship Event No Limit Hold’em in San Diego in February 2005, which featured a buy-in of $10,000 + $200. There, he placed 4th, amassing $158,840.

Continuing his upward trajectory, Worth took part in the WPT North American Poker Championships in Niagara Falls in October 2006, where he again finished 4th in a $10,000 + $300 event, earning $257,337.

Moreover, in April 2007, he entered the WPT No Limit Hold’em Championship at the Fifth Annual Five Star World Poker Classic in Las Vegas, which had a buy-in of $25,000 + $500. He achieved a 16th place finish and walked away with $123,760.

In February 2024 when he played a $175 No Limit Hold’em tournament at Casino Niagara’s recurring tournaments in Niagara Falls. He finished in a respectable 2nd place, earning $2,065.
